Audemars Piguet Unveils Five New Royal Oak and Code 11.59 Timepieces

Believe resonant chimes, natural rock dials, and precious metals.

Audemars Piguet started off November with a bang-or, more precisely, a chime-by introducing three new " Supersonnerie" (minute repeater) watches and two new inclusions in the Code 11.59 collection.

The 3 new chiming watches derive from the Royal Oak Concept Supersonnerie, which was launched within 2016 following nearly 10 years of research and advancement by the Swiss watchmaker. Which model utilized an innovative structures to enhance acoustic performance, providing exceptionally loud and crystal clear chimes. The new releases maintain this foundational architecture while introducing fresh innovations inside materials and aesthetic style.

All three watches are powered by the Calibre 2953-an evolution of the previously Calibre 2937 and the Calibre 2874SS found in the original Supersonnerie model-featuring a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock along with a 72-hour power reserve. They also include the groundbreaking Supersonnerie technologies, which secures patented gongs to a dedicated soundboard instead of directly to the mainplate, therefore enhancing the clarity, volume level, and timbre of the audio.

Two of these types of models belong to the Royal Oak collection; they function 42mm cases and display the collection’s signature components, such as the octagonal bezel as well as integrated bracelet. One product pairs a yellow gold event with a gold obsidian switch (reference 77410BA.OO.A604CR.01), while the other (reference 77410OR.OO.A001CR.01) features a rose gold case using a black onyx dial, accented by diamond-set hour indicators. Both timepieces are run by the Calibre 5909, that provides a 60-hour power reserve.
